General rules


  • All instructions given by hotel staff relating to these house rules must be followed.


  • A valid form of identification must be presented upon check-in. Check-in is permitted from the age of 18. Both guests must be 18 years of age or older.


  • CCTV cameras are installed at various locations throughout the hotel. Anyone entering or staying in our hotel agrees to being recorded. These recordings may only be shared with third parties as supporting material in the event of emergencies and/or incidents.


  • Any found items must be handed in at reception.


  • Landgoed Huize Bergen is not responsible for the loss or theft of your belongings.


  • Verbal and/or physical violence will not be tolerated. Sexual harassment, racism and discrimination, as well as aggression towards hotel staff and guests, will not be tolerated. Anyone behaving in a disruptive or offensive manner within or around the hotel premises will be denied access. In the event of threats, assault or any other form of aggression, the incident will always be reported to the police.


  • Use of toilets: The toilets are intended for hotel and restaurant guests and for individual use only. Remaining in the toilet facilities for any other reason is not permitted.



Noise Disturbance

Causing a disturbance to others through loud music, inappropriate behaviour or noise of any kind is prohibited. Quiet hours apply between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Our staff may address you if these rules are not observed.


Smoking and Fire

All rooms and public areas throughout the hotel are non-smoking. If we discover that smoking has taken place in a hotel room, a cleaning fee of €150.00 will be charged. The use of candles and the burning of incense in hotel rooms is prohibited due to the fire alarm system and fire risk. The security system will be activated immediately in the event of smoke.


Fire and Emergencies

In the event of a fire, remain calm. Report the fire to reception and/or activate the nearest fire alarm. If the general fire alarm sounds (slow whoop), leave the building immediately. Follow the instructions of hotel staff. Emergency exits may only be used in an emergency and must not be used as regular entrances or exits.

Never use the lifts in the event of a fire.


Parking

We have a large car park where you can park your car free of charge. There are also several smaller parking areas located elsewhere on the estate.

We have 4 electric vehicle charging points. Advance reservations are not required.


Alcohol, (Soft) Drugs and Weapons

Alcohol is only served to persons aged 18 and over. We may ask you to provide proof of age. We reserve the right to stop serving alcohol if we consider it no longer responsible to continue doing so. The possession, consumption, use or sale of narcotics is prohibited. This includes soft and hard drugs, nitrous oxide and other intoxicating substances. Weapons are prohibited throughout the estate.


Damage

Any damage to or theft of items from hotel rooms and/or hotel property will be charged to the person responsible or the person legally liable.


Internet

Free wireless internet (Wi-Fi) is available throughout our hotel. Visiting websites containing content prohibited by law is not permitted.


Prostitution

Prostitution and staying in a hotel room with more people than the number stated in the reservation are prohibited in our hotel.

It is not permitted to receive unregistered persons or other hotel guests in your room. If other guests or unregistered persons are found in the room, you will be asked to leave the hotel immediately.


Privacy

Under most circumstances, we respect your privacy. However, we are authorised to enter your room in the event of an emergency or if there is reason to believe that our house rules are not being observed. If necessary, for example in the event of aggression or misconduct, we reserve the right to have your room vacated and to remove you from the hotel. If you fail to comply with the above house rules, or in the event of damage to, loss of or destruction of property belonging to Landgoed Huize Bergen, no prior warning will be given. This may result in immediate removal from the premises, liability for any damages and/or a report being made to the police. No refund will be provided in such cases.


Privacy of Our Employees

As a guest, you are also required to respect the privacy of our employees. Images, audio recordings or names of our employees may not be recorded or shared with third parties.
